Oil and Gas Leasing Information
The Department conducts four lease sales each year for oil and gas leases on state land. Tracts can be nominated by filling out a lease application form, which is available upon request.

Sales begin promptly at 9:00 AM. The March, June, September, and December sales will be held in the Department of Transportation Auditorium, 2701 Prospect Ave., Helena, Montana.

Comments are requested by November 3 for this lease sale. However, we welcome and consider all comments received up until the December 15 Land Board meeting.
